Went here with a bunch of the gals from my team; party of 21 please! Got myself an iced water. And ordered a Hula Burger with a turkey patty instead of the original meat patty. The wait was quite lengthy. Sure, it was a table of 21, but they didn't even serve us in chronological order of how we ordered. For myself, for instance, arrived with three other girls fifteen minutes prior to the rest of the girls, yet I still got our food later. Service was sluggish. Our party was sitting out at the patio, and we only had one or two servers come check up on us once in a while. It was rather difficult to get someone's attention. The servers were friendly though. So I finally got my Hula burger, and it was scrumptious. The crispy and crunchy border of the bun was a perfect compliment to the fluffy, buttery wheat bun. The cheese and mushroom mixture was perfection; the flavors of the salty mushrooms and the creamy mozzarella was heavenly. The turkey patty completed the burger just like that. The taste of the turkey was a nice pair with that of the cheese and mushrooms. Definitely glad I swapped the usual beef patty with a turkey patty. Pat on my shoulder. The lettuce was slightly disappointing; the juices from the patty made the lettuce easily slip out of the burger and instead of a fresh, watery lettuce addition, it was just soggy lettuce. And the bottom bun was crispy and toasted to perfection. So, now the fries. I'm a bit iffy on the fries. Sure, they are "bottomless" meaning that you can get free refills on the fries, but I'm not that satisfied. The restaurant doesn't give you that many fries. And they're small. I know, I shouldn't complain, but I was not blown away. I did ask for a refill, but they took forever. Like maybe twenty minutes. I finally got my fries after we got the bill. Hmmm, not too fond of that. The fries' seasoning was not bad at all. Had a cajun kick and a peppery punch. But when it's cool, then the fries are dry and overly salty. Burger>fries.
Burger: four out of five stars.
Fries: two out of five.
